Parks/Streets and Facilities

The Parks, Streets & Facilities Division is dedicated to keeping Soledad’s public streets and facilities clean, safe, and welcoming for residents and visitors. Our team maintains City Hall, Police Department, Soledad Community Center, and the Gateway Center, as well as 13 city parks covering more than 25 acres, along with two miles of landscaped roadway, totaling approximately 2.5 acres.  Responsibilities include:

  • Daily grounds and facility cleanup
  • Playground and amenity repairs
  • Graffiti removal
  • Mowing, pruning, fertilizing, and weeding
  • Irrigation system maintenance and spraying
  • Grounds and facility improvements
  • Minor facility repairs
  • Pothole repairs
  • Upkeep of road signs

In addition to the many responsibilities this division handles, it also provides support during special city and community events, ensuring city spaces are ready and accessible for public use.

Fleet Division

Our Fleet Services division maintains all vehicles and small equipment for the Public Works and Police Departments. Their responsibility is to ensure that our staff and police officers can accomplish their tasks safely.
