At the Soledad Parks & Recreation department, we believe that recreation plays an important role in every community. Recreation opportunities and outdoor spaces are essential for strengthening and maintaining a vibrant community. Our goal is focused on inclusivity while fostering a culture of health & well-being, which contributes to individual identity, community growth, and promotion of a healthy and successful community.

Our Parks & Recreation team is proud to announce that we have received the Statewide Award of Excellence in the Community Impact category for “Creating a Culture of Connection” from the California Parks and Recreation Society.
Over the past few years, under the strong leadership of our Director, Jessica Potts, we’ve worked hard to build a connected and resilient department. It’s meaningful to see that effort recognized — especially as a small city.
This recognition belongs not just to our amazing parks and rec team but to our volunteers, families, and residents who make Soledad such a special place. We’re proud of the progress and excited to keep growing together.
Year-round events are always happening in Soledad. Keep up to date with our event lineup by following our social media pages!
